I want to first say how extremely humbled and honored I am to be named MLSP’s member of the month for June 2010. Thank you Norbert, Brian & Todd for creating MLSP! Without your leadership and vision I really have no idea where I would be today. (probably no longer in this industry) THANKS!!

I first got involved in network marketing back in late 2008. I was approached about joining a new start up MLM here in my hometown of Tulsa, Ok where I live with my two sons Jeremy & Chase. Having no previous experience, I really had no clue what to do but I was motivated and ready to follow the lead of my upline. We’ve all heard this story a million times so there’s no need to go into details here. Losing money, facing rejection, hating my business and being frustrated for the next several months did teach me a very expensive lesson. Contrary to what my company and upline told me, “These life changing products & opportunity won’t sell themselves”. I know…shocking!

But I wasn’t about to give up. Enter…THE INTERNET! Well, a month or so later and a couple thousand bucks spent on Google AdWords taught me my next expensive lesson. “Promoting your opportunity up front online DOES NOT work”. I knew then that in order to be successful I would have to align myself and learn from those that WERE HAVING SUCCESS.

After several weeks of research I decided MLSP was exactly what I was looking for. Mainly because at that time in early 2009 it seemed like “The Internet Rockstar” & that “Canadian dude” were EVERYWHERE!! They had definitely figured it out and had a system in place that had everything I needed. The decision to join really wasn’t very difficult.

I had my system setup in a few hours and immersed myself in the PPC training videos. Within a week I started generating leads and MLSP signups soon followed. By simply following instructions I was on my way. Well, sort of. My breakthrough was delayed for about 10 months because I wasn’t 100% focused or consistent with what I was doing. Bouncing around trying different things was really holding me back. If you take just one thing from reading this, let it be this: “When someone who is getting the results you want gives you advice, TAKE IT and implement it immediately without question.” (I’ll never second guess you again Brian) Yet another mistake that this time cost me something much more valuable than money…..Time!

My breakthrough I feel came after attending a live marketing event in Las Vegas in Nov 2009. And No, it wasn’t some top secret jedi marketing strategy I learned but rather a complete shift in mindset and clarity with what needed to be done in order to reach that next level. When I returned it was back to basics and I think I lived in the MLSP training call archives for almost two months. For those that haven’t figured it out yet..THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM ARE RIGHT THERE.

Since then I’ve been 100% consistent with my marketing (PPC, articles & blog) and have really focused more on personal branding. The rewards that have resulted in that shift have been phenomenal. By taking consistent daily action my numbers in all aspects of my business continue to improve each and every month. That’s really all that was holding me back and what I believe is keeping those that are struggling in this industry from breaking out.

Today, I absolutely love what I’m doing and am excited about what the future holds, not only for me but for all of us as members of MLSP. In the past year and a half I’ve seen MLSP evolve into network marketing’s premier system and community. But without a doubt I feel that this is just the beginning!
